Wealdstone striker Davis Haule has left the club after the Ryman Premier side were unable to afford his wages.
The Stones could not agree a deal for the experienced striker which would fit into their wage structure. The club launched the 100:400 campaign at the end of last season in a bid to raise £40,000 for next year's playing budget. Wealdstone have reached about 80 per cent of the target but it was not possible for them to keep hold of the 32-year-old.
Midfielder David Hicks has also left the club because of work constraints. But the Stones have agreed a deal to keep former Watford trainee Marvin McCoy. The 19-year-old defender has been rewarded for his impressive displays in the side last season.
Manager Gordon Bartlett said: "We would like to thank Davis and Hicksy for their contribution to our encouraging season last year and wish them well for the future.
"Hicksy has changed his job, is due to be married soon and with a young family as well, is unfortunately finding it hard to devote the time to his football.
"On the positive side, I am delighted Marvin has signed because he proved last season he has a lot of potential. He has a great attitude and I believe he has the pace and ability to play at a higher level."
