LAURA TURNER warmed up for next month's World Indoor Athletics Championships by finishing fifth in the 60m sprint at the Norwich Union Grand Prix on Saturday.
The 25-year-old qualified for the Final of the event at The National Indoor Arena in Birmingham by finishing third in Heat Two in a time of 7.33 seconds. The Harrow Athletics Club star ran even faster in the Final, crossing the line in a time of 7.29 but four sprinters pipped her to the post, including American Angela Williams who scorched home in a time of 7.15.
The World Indoor Championships take place in Valencia, Spain on Friday, March 7.
