EVERYONE has taken part in a treasure hunt but when clues lead to a vintage tea party it is a prize worth finding.

Once the clues have been deciphered people are greeted with a haven of antique tea sets and cake stands filled with cupcakes, sandwiches and other sweet treats.

Live entertainment and a guest demonstration are also part of the tea parties.

Pretty Little Trio, the business behind the events, is the brainchild of Rebecca Jenkinson, a Stockton Heath mum of two-year-old triplets.

Rebecca, aged 35, launched the firm last year after leaving her previous job to care for her children Gabriella, Alexander and Zachary.

Pretty Little Trio was born out of the love of her pasttime of collecting vintage china.

Rebecca said: “I have always loved china. As a child I followed my parents around car boot sales, auctions and antique centres. My dad collects vintage toys and my parents had a ceramics business. I have 450 tea sets. The collection has just grown.

“A lot of the time I find a box of china at car boot sales that somebody has never used because it was always kept for best so it’s a bit sad but lovely that I have used it for weddings and celebrations.”

The idea of starting her own business was sparked after holding parties for her friends and family.

She has since had inquiries to provide tea sets for weddings as far a field as Italy.

Her last party was held at the Hatton Arms in Hatton Lane and saw cakes and sandwiches supplied by Jane Constantinou, from Paddington based Tea Time Treats, a Valentine’s demonstration by Heather Ryder, from Living Colour in Walton Road, Stockton Heath and music from string quartet The Dotted Crotchets from Manchester.

Parties have so far taken place in Hatton and Stockton Heath.

The next party will take place at a secret location in Knutsford tomorrow at 8pm.

The clue to the location is: You could walk over king and country here.
