FOUR candidates have been declared for the Wembley Central by-election next Thursday.

The election comes after Labour councillor Jayesh Mistry left the seat last month due to personal reasons.

The seat was previously held by former Liberal Democrat councillor Vijay Shah, who was jailed for a year for embezzlement and booted out of the party in 2009.

He was succeeded by Liberal Democrat Afifa Pervez who is standing for the ward again.

She is joined by Conservative Madhuri Davda, from Pasture Close, Wembley, Labour candidate Krupa Sheth, from St Michael’s Avenue, Wembley, and Green candidate Martin Francis, from Saltcroft Close, Wembley.
