Pinner-shot movie about John Lennon scoops Empire Film Award

A FILM part shot in Pinner charting the early life of John Lennon has scooped a top film award.
Aaron Johnson was named Best Newcomer at the Empire Film Awards for his portrayal of the legendary Beatle in Nowhere Boy.
The 19-year-old attended the awards last night with his fiancee - and Nowhere Boy director - Sam Taylor-Wood.
Part of the film, released at Christmas, were shot in the streets of Pinner, which doubled for 1960s Liverpool where Lennon grew up.
