Record numbers of people are taking part in sport in Harrow, according to new Sport England figures.

In Harrow there are now more than 100 organisations offering sporting opportunities for residents.

Everything from pilates to dance and martial arts is on offer.

Harrow Borough Council portfolio holder for community and cultural services, Cllr David Perry, said: “I am absolutely delighted to see so many more residents taking part in sport.

“There is a tremendous amount of sport activities on offer, many of which are free, and I hope even more people take up a sport – regardless of age or ability.”
