People are being urged to help fund a campaign for an inflatable obstacle course to give you a Wipeout experience.

Cloud 9 is an indoor active leisure experience for adults and children that is aiming to launch near Hertfordshire which will mimic courses like Gladiators and Total Wipeout.

The centre launched as a part-time pop up on weekends and school holidays from 2017 in Watford.

However, the group said that the venue used in the Francis Combe Academy sports hall was not ideal for the full vision.

While the location of a new permanent venue is said to be a “secret location near London”, the Observer understands this will be easily accessible in Hertfordshire – particularly around Watford.

The new indoor activity would introduce a giant inflatable obstacle course and a sporting arena for dodgeball, football, and basketball.

Some of the games involved would include a ‘last man standing’ battle, a gladiator duel, an interactive bungee run, human hungry hippos, and a Nerf gun shooting gallery.

Cloud 9 say that at the new venue, they will regularly change the games and experiences to keep the moment fresh for regular visitors.

The venue will also include a stocked licence bar and café, and there will be private rooms to rent for corporate events and parties.

Co-founders Andrew and Megan said: “After an amazing response from the public at our pop-up, we are now incredibly excited that our vision will become a reality this winter when we open the first permanent Cloud 9 venue in the UK. It will be a spectacular destination for all ages, with a huge variety of activities, a fully stocked licensed bar and delicious café."

Cloud 9 is targeting an opening date by Winter 2020 since launching its public crowdfunding campaign.

The company is aiming to raise £600,000, with over £386,000 being raised so far by 144 investors.

After the potential launch of the first new venue, the company aims to launch even more across the UK.
