As Watford FC fights to stay in the Premier League today, football fans have sent in messages of support before the big game against Arsenal.

The Hornets will be facing the gunners in their last Premier League game of the season at the Emirates Stadium at 4pm today.

Watford are now in the bottom three after their 4-0 defeat to Manchester City, with Aston Villa just outside the relegation zone on points equal to Watford.

The club still have a chance to stay in the Premier League, but it all depends on their performance in the last 90 minutes.

Fans have their shared messages of support below:

David Harman

Harrow Times:

"I am 41, but I feel like I did back when Watford played Southampton many years ago. Shilton was in goal for them, we needed to win to stay up. We lost, and I will never forget the car ride home with my father in tears. I am telling you this so you all understand the thousands of people who look up to you, who are by your side. You are our heroes. Please remember the responsibility you hold and how hard you have worked to get to this position as professional players playing in the best league. Shackle yourself free of the past, the pressure, enjoy every minute of our final 90, play with the passion, the freedom and the collectiveness of a team who remember how much joy you can bring to the next young boy and to a father, like I am now. God bless, start with the end in sight, you have conquered far more than this in the past, leave nothing on the pitch, and make us, and most importantly, yourselves, proud."

John Golding

"You guys got this. Focus on your own game, play your heart out, leave everything out there. Play your game, if something happens early, just keep going. Play for yourselves, your squad members, the club, the staff, and us. No matter what we will never stop supporting you lads, UP THE ‘ORNS!"

Michael Jones

"Come on boys, we know you are a good team and can play better than you have. We need another result like the Liverpool one. This means a lot to the people of Watford and the club. Go out there on Sunday and play like you know you can and get the result that will keep us in the Prem, we believe in you. COYH."

John Roullier

Dino Ballotti

Harrow Times:

"This is an open letter to the players of the club I love dearly. My first and only live viewing was when we played City in the final last year. I travelled thousands of miles from Namibia to sing my heart out for the lads. We were beaten but I never stopped singing and waving my yellow flag with pride! I travelled back after the final from Manchester airport wearing my yellow and black striped home top and not one Manc could have made me feel any less proud of my club. Sunday we may win or lose, and next season we may play championship football, but my only request is that you lads give it your very best attempt. Play for the badge! Play for us supporters that will support till our last breath on this earth. Troy and the lads, fight and give it everything! Everything is all we ask for the 90 minutes. I love my club and will never stop - my sons and I will be shouting you on come Sunday! COYH!!!"

Jason Farquharson

Harrow Times:

"Come on Watford, you can do this."

Phillip Angel

"Come on! There will be the whole of Watford with you this Sunday, not just the 11 on the pitch! we can do this!"

Kate Tompkins

Harrow Times:

"Just please play with smiles on your faces, have fun, you won’t be so nervous then. If we see you smiling and laughing and we see that you are enjoying yourselves out there, we will be smiling with you. It’s just a football match in the scheme of things and in current times, you should feel SO lucky to be doing what you love, so many are not so blessed - good luck!"

Paul Henry

"Following the Hornets for 40 years and there has certainly been a lot of highs and low...... Let's make Sunday one of the highs!!!"

"Sunday is a huge game for all involved. If you give your all for 90 minutes then you can keep your heads held high. All I ask is that you fight for every ball and take the game to them. You will all become heroes if you can keep us in the premier league. Do us all proud. We are with you. COYH"

Steve Hanwell

"Heroes, I am alive and kicking so want to see you challenge with your determination and flair to win on Sunday. You are able to do us proud!! Steve, The proud and shouty Hornet."

Adrian Robson

Harrow Times:

"You can do this and get the win you all deserve. Just remember that feeling after beating Liverpool 3-0 and only one other team has beaten them in the league this season. Arsenal hard to beat? You have done that before too. Remember when that victory had you in the top five of the league. Has the team changed much in this time? No, not at all. We may be missing Gerry but the rest of you are there. So come on, dig deep one last time and get the win that gives us the chance to stay up."

Andy Debbage

"Believe"

James Underwood

"Remember how we all stood and sang as one at 5-0 down in the FA Cup final. Remember the flags waving. That is the support we have for our team even when on the backfoot. We can support, but it's only you who can control our collective destiny. We are still very much in this. Go for the win but just leave everything on the pitch."

Tautvydas Šatas

"Just have fun.. Go for the kill or don't play at all... that's my mentality for the last game."

Frances Cottle

"Please score and win not much too ask just need to finish 17th."

Margaret Martin

"Please, please win for this die-hard 71-year-old fan. Watching from Australia xx Cheers"

Kate Allardyce

"Just show some fight, that is all we ask. At least if we go down we’ve gone down fighting. COYH."

Adam Cox

"Kick them early, they’ve (Arsenal have) got a cup final next Saturday."

Ben Bray

"Win the game and come in town to celebrate with the fans like Brighton away."

Donna Reeves

"Do your best! Think of all of the fans and how they are behind you and really want to stay up in the Premiership! Have belief that you can do it!! Remember Liverpool this season and the amazing Leceister game in 2013!!! Do it for Graham Taylor’s memory too!"
