A 95-year-old Watford FC fan was applauded as she was escorted out of hospital after recovering from coronavirus.
Ivy Scott, who celebrated her 95th birthday earlier this month, is on her way home from the Royal National Orthopeadic Hospital after overcoming Covid-19.
Mrs Scott, a lifelong fan of the Hornets, was admitted to the hospital in Stanmore at the height of the pandemic in April, when she tested positive for the virus.
As she celebrated her birthday in the middle of May in hospital, Watford FC showed support for their fan by sending her birthday wishes and messages of support.
With Mrs Scott having recovered from the virus weeks later, the hospital put up a video yesterday on twitter of her being clapped out of hospital.
When Ivy Scott arrived @RNOHnhs at the height of the pandemic in April, she was #covid19 positive. She's celebrated her 95th birthday with @WatfordFC tweeting birthday wishes. Today, Ivy is covid19 negative and on her way home. Thanks to the Respiratory ward staff for their care. pic.twitter.com/OuTN6drFSD

The video shows staff dressed in personal protective wear and clapping the Hornets fan as she is wheeled out on her bed.
The tweet read: "When Ivy Scott arrived @RNOHnhs at the height of the pandemic in April, she was #covid19 positive.
"She's celebrated her 95th birthday with @WatfordFC tweeting birthday wishes. Today, Ivy is covid19 negative and on her way home. Thanks to the Respiratory ward staff for their care."
Helen, Mrs Scott's grandaughter, wrote in response to the post: "The care that Nan has received during her time with @RNOHnhs has been absolutely incredible. We thank everyone who played a part in caring for her.
"She even had a birthday party arranged during her stay! We can't say thank you enough."
