Car drifters have wrecked a green conservation area with tyre marks across the green.

Croxley Green Parish Council rangers were shocked to find The Green, Croxley Green destroyed with skid marks across the land on February 13.

This is the second time an incident like this has happened this month, as rangers first found similar damages at the site on February 10.

The rangers found deep spiralling skid marks dug into the ground near various homes.

On Twitter, the rangers tweeted that it was a “disgrace” to see the mindless damage at the conservation site.

Ryan Bennett, clerk to the council, said: “We are very disappointed that someone has decided to vandalise Croxley’s village green in this way.

“Our rangers work hard in maintaining The Green for the residents of Croxley Green and for someone to damage it in this mindless and selfish manner is incredibly frustrating.”

The incident has been reported to their police community support officer (PCSO) and the parish council suggested that if anyone sees people causing damages at the site again, to call the police non-emergency number 101.
