A historic steam locomotive has made a stop at Watford Junction.
The 60009 Union of South Africa has been visible in the sidings from platforms 10 and 11 since Sunday afternoon.
According to the Rail Advent, the locomotive broke down in Kings Langley earlier in the day on Sunday, but managed to make its way to Watford.
People living near the station heard the sounds of the steam engine and whistle as darkness fell.
The support coach and tender was later moved onto a truck and transported out of town towards the M1.

The LNER Class A4 steam locomotive was built in Doncaster in 1937 and is one of just six surviving Gresley A4s.
The trains’ streamlined design made them instantly recognisable, and one of the class, 4468 Mallard, holds the world record as the fastest steam locomotive.
In September 2015, 60009 hauled a train carrying H.M. Queen Elizabeth II along with Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh and Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon to officially re-open the Borders Railway in Scotland.
