Kiko Femenia will not play for the remainder of the season for Watford, after straining his abductor muscle during their win over Millwall.
The full extent of the injury is not known, but initial inspections suggest it will be a month before he is ready to play again.
Only two matches remain of the current campaign, against Brentford and Swansea City, but fortunately for the Hornets, Saturday's victory was enough to earn them promotion to the Premier League.
Femenia's absence will give Jeremy Ngakia the opportunity to get some more game time, should he be fit, while Craig Cathcart has shown against Norwich and Millwall that he is also capable of filling in at right back.
Nevertheless, his injury denies him the final two matches of what has been a terrific season for the defender, in which he has flourished as an attacking full-back and linked up well with Ismaila Sarr.
The Spaniard combined well with the Senegalese winger before the latter was tripped in the box to earn the penalty that won Watford the match and sealed their return to the top flight.
