Watford strengthened their grip on second place in the Championship by grinding out an unceremonious 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Here's how we rated the players' individual efforts.

Daniel Bachmann - 6.5

Made a good save in first half and looked calm on the ball under pressure.

Kiko Femenia - 6

Attacked well in the first half, but fell victim to the scrappy nature of the game in the second.

Francisco Sierralta - 7

Did very well against tough opposition strikers.

William Troost-Ekong - 7

Another solid showing after coming back from international duty.

Adam Masina - 6.5

A positive performance, played some great balls forward, including for the goal.

Will Hughes - 6.5

Not his best game, but still scrapped away and made a positive impact in a difficult match.

Nathaniel Chalobah - 7.5

His work off the ball was brilliant - a determined, battling performance.

Philip Zinckernagel - 5

Had a tough time before being substituted.

Ismaila Sarr - 7.5

Considering the fact he was an injury concern, he remained positive throughout and his work off the ball was terrific.

Joao Pedro - 6.5

Looked lively before leaving the field with an injury.

Isaac Success - 6

Link up play was good at times, but still needs to find sharpness in front of goal.
