Brentford boss Thomas Frank believes this season's Championship is heading for a dramatic finale with Watford and Swansea City battling it out with the Bees for the second automatic promotion spot.

The Hornets are currently leading the race for second in the table, sitting six points clear of the Swans and seven clear of Brentford, although both do have a game in hand.

Watford also have to play both of those sides as part of their remaining fixtures, as well as a difficult trip to league leaders Norwich City, as they look to come out on top of an eight game scrap that could be worth an estimated £200million to whoever claims the second promotion place.

While the Brentford manager believes top spot is already wrapped up, he knows things will be much closer in the race for second.

"Norwich will definitely win the Championship this season," said Frank.

"I think it’s going to be a dog fight between Watford, Swansea and ourselves for the last automatic promotion spot.

"I obviously hope and still believe we can get that. It will be a hard-fought battle right till the very last game."
