Xisco Munoz has described Joseph Hungbo as "an example" to the other players in the Watford Under 23s after progressing to the first team.

Hungbo made his first Championship appearance during the 2-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers on Wednesday night and impressed again when he was introduced for the final 15 minutes of the 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest earlier today.

After the match, the head coach said he was a player the other youngsters could look to and learn from.

"I think he's a big professional here working everyday very hard," said Munoz. "I think he's an example for the young guys because every time when he comes training with us he has a brilliant attitude.

Harrow Times:

"I wish him all the best and I want to push him because I think he can give more better performances, also because he's young.

"All I can say is that he's an example for the other guys because we need the same values from everyone who wants to work with the first team."

After the game, Hungbo spoke to the club website and said that he was pleased to see his hard work paying off.

“Every day I’ve been working hard and striving to get in the manager’s eyes, to get the belief of the manager that I can play and I can do this,” he said.

“Day by day I’ve been making strides and me being here is not down to luck, it’s down to hard work and dedication. I’ve just got to make sure I continue.”
