Watford head coach Xisco Munoz has told whoever plays on Wednesday night to take their chance, with Joao Pedro and Nathaniel Chalobah both out with suspensions.

The Hornets are looking to move on from their 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth on Saturday at home against Wycombe Wanderers, but will be without Pedro, who was sent off in the closing moments of the game at the Vitality Stadium, and Chalobah, whose accumulation of yellow cards also rules him out.

While Munoz recognises that he will be without two key figures, he believes he has enough talent in his squad to provide adequate replacements.

"We know for us how important is Joao and Chalo, this is true," said Munoz.

"But now is the moment for other guys to try to take the chance and to give the maximum for the team.

"I think everyone in the squad is ready to play and now is the moment for who gets the chance to keep it and say 'I'm here, I want to continue to play'. Now is the moment for them to show everyone one step more and give their maximum for the team."

Whoever is selected on Wednesday will have to adhere to Munoz's ethos of playing with "team spirit", something he felt his players showed during their defeat at Bournemouth.

The head coach also said he wants his players to show their ambition in the remaining 13 games of the season, as they continue their push for promotion.

"Sometimes you have you can have good things or bad things with the ball but the most important is we have the team spirit," he said.

Harrow Times:

"I think the ambition of the team is brilliant and we need to continue with this ambition.

"I'm sure we will have difficult moments until the final but we need this attitude. This attitude is excellent for me, for the fans, the club, for everyone because I think this is the good way if we want to complete our excellent challenge."
