Xisco Munoz insists there are positives to take from Watford's 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, despite his side lacking creativity in attack once again.

The Hornets mustered just one shot on target as they struggled to get the best of a tough Cherries' defence and their winning streak came to an end.

However, the head coach felt his side played with both intensity and heart even though there were clearly lessons to be learnt from the loss.

"I think today is the moment to take only positive things," said Munoz.

"It's true again we can give a better performance, we can play better. We came here and we knew exactly what is the game and we know what is the quality of the team but I will take the positives.

Harrow Times:

"I think our team was in the game with big intensity, heart and tried to play. Sometimes we have better performances and they can give better. Today we could make more chances because we didn't have a lot of chance to score.

"Now is the moment to continue to work hard. I spoke before about this, I'm sure we will have difficult moments until the final and the most important is that together we have amazing talent.

"I think today our fans can see the players all gave the maximum."

Asked why his team struggled so much to create chances, Munoz said his side came up against a team who sat deep and did not allow Watford to create the space they needed.

"Today the space is totally different," he said. "They wait for us and not try to push up and we have different space, more lateral space and not behind them.

"We know we have difficulty with the situations and we are working.

"In the first half I think we have two or three chances with lateral crosses. When you play against good teams, you need to have a little more chance and you need to have more luck or you have a more fortune with the with these options."
