Philip Zinckernagel has described Watford as the "biggest club in the Championship" and has every faith they will climb back into the Premier League this season.

After arriving as a free agent, the Danish winger told the club website that joining the Hornets was a "no brainer" because of the potential for him to play in one of Europe's top leagues.

"Watford is the biggest club in the Championship and the club with the best chances of going up to Premier League so it was more or less a no brainer," he said.

"I always dreamed of playing in the big leagues, the top five in Spain, Italy, England, and for me Watford belongs in the Premier League. The Championship is more or less a top five league."

While supporters will have to wait until at least next week when Watford travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the FA Cup to see their new signing there seems to be a lot for them to be excited about.

Harrow Times:

Zinckernagel scored 19 goals in 28 appearances while also providing 24 assists for Bodo/Glimt last season.

Asked what fans can expect from him once he is able to play, he said he was both "fast" and "explosive" before insisting he is fit and ready to play as soon as he is required.

"I can play on both wings," he said. "I can play as a number 10. I would say that I'm a fast explosive winger with qualities in my feet. I have a good right foot and I'm pretty decent with the left. I'm one who likes to dribble, but also likes to cross. So a little bit of everything. But mainly attacking.

Harrow Times:

"I'm fit, I've only had about ten days off since the last game on the 19th of December, so I'm more or less fit, and just looking forward to be on the training pitch and hopefully soon I can play some games."
