Watford head coach Xisco Munoz is looking forward to showing off his new signing Philip Zinckernagel, who he believes will be an asset for his squad.

The Danish attacker has joined on a free transfer from Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt for whom he scored a total of 35 goals in 89 matches. During that time he also provided 36 assists.

The club announced his arrival after completing his medical earlier this week, although he will not be eligible for this weekend's trip to Swansea City.

Instead he could make his debut away at Manchester United in the FA Cup the following weekend.

Speaking about his new acquisition, Munoz said: "I'm very happy with Phillip. He's good for us, it's a good moment. He's in a very good group, I'm sure he'll have a good connection with them.

"You will see, I think, that he's a very good player. He will bring good things to the team and we will see in the future what he can give us."

Zinckernagel has signed a five-and-a-half year deal at Vicarage Road and will wear the number seven shirt.
