Watford thrashed Preston North End 4-1 in a much improved performance at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon.

Head coach Vladimir Ivic suggested it was probably the Hornets' best showing so far this season after the match. Here's how we thought they got on individually.

Ben Foster - 6.5

Not much he could've done about the goal and not a lot else for him to do to be honest. Made a decent stop in the first-half from a loose Andre Gray back pass.

Jeremy Ngakia - 7

Preston's main source of danger came down the left hand side and he did plenty to prevent them from creating too many serious chances.

Christian Kabasele - 7.5

Robust and commanding in the centre of defence. Another really impressive display.

Harrow Times:

Craig Cathcart - 7.5

Equally as solid as Kabasele. The pair are clearly capable of working as a back two without needing a third central defender.

Kiko Femenia - 7

Joined in the attack down the left with great effect once again and was good defensively.

Nathaniel Chalobah - 8

Took a bit of time to get into the game, but had a really positive second-half and clearly benefited from the new system. Took his goal very well and pitched in defensively. His best performance for a while.

Harrow Times:

James Garner - 7.5

Creative going forward and his set pieces were excellent. A forward-thinking display.

Domingos Quina - 8

A constant threat, improving further from Wednesday evening. Got into a good position to score the opening goal and worked hard throughout.

Harrow Times:

Ismaila Sarr - 7.5

Helped out with his share of defending and looked lively in attack. Would've benefited from better service, with several attempted runs ignored by his teammates.

Andre Gray - 5

Almost gifted Preston a goal with an horrendous backpass, not his only loose ball of the game, before he had to make way.

Troy Deeney - 8.5

A strong return to the starting lineup for the skipper who brought his teammates into the game, set up Chalobah's finish really creatively and emphatically finished his penalty.

Harrow Times:

SUBS

Joao Pedro - 7.5

Took his goal well and was unfortunate not to have scored another. A much better display than on Wednesday night.

Stipe Perica - 6

Looked lively after coming on, but didn't have any real opportunities to show what he can do.

Ben Wilmot - 6

Deployed out of position, but helped see the game out with minimum fuss. Slotted in seamlessly.

Francisco Sierralta - N/A

Joined the game too late to make an impact.

Dan Phillips - N/A
