Young Hornet’s defender Ben Wilmot has been called up to play for England under 21s.
The 21-year-old, who has made nine appearances for Watford so far this season, will team up with the nation’s top youth prospects to take on Andorra and Albania in UEFA U21 EURO Championship qualifiers.
Wilmot has impressed for the first team since returning from a season-long loan spell at Swansea City last year where he played 21 games, scoring two goals.

The six-foot-two centre back made his debut for England under 21s against Slovenia back in October 2019 in a 2-2 draw.
The Young Lions play Andorra at the Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton on Friday, November 13 at 7.30pm before welcoming Albania on Tuesday, November 17 for a 7.25pm kick-off, also at Molineux Stadium.
On-loan Manchester United midfielder Joe Garner has also been called up to the under 20s squad.
