Watford should have Ismaila Sarr and Etienne Capoue at their disposal when they face Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night.

Both players had been expected to participate in the 1-0 win at Derby County on Friday, but a last minute knock ruled out Capoue while Sarr was still jet-lagged from his international duties.

Head coach Vladimir Ivic said he is expecting both to be available for the midweek fixture at Vicarage Road.

"Sarr's with us. He stayed out [of the Derby match] because he was tired after his trip but now he's okay and he has worked as normal," said Ivic. "He's one of the players who's available for the game.

"I talked with him a lot of times about his ability and about playing in the Championship. He said he's motivated, he wants to be part of us and he's one of the players who gives his maximum every day in practise. We're satisfied that he's with us and now after the transfer window is closed, he's part of Watford and he will work hard I'm sure and he will show his potential and his quality.

Harrow Times:

"[Capoue's] okay, he's worked normally and I believe that he will be one of the players who will be available for the game."

Ivic is expecting it to be a difficult encounter against Rovers, who have the highest goalscoring record in the Championship.

However, with Watford's defensive record the best in the division, the Hornets know they are strong opponents.

"We have a big challenge on Wednesday and they're one of the best clubs in the Championship," said Ivic.

"They're very good, very strong, a very good team and they know how to attack, they know how to defend, they lost their last game but it was in the last minute of the game and they deserve respect because they are a tough team and I'm sure and I know and my players know, that we have a very tough game on Wednesday. Our target is, like every time, to take three points, to win the game and we will fight and give our best to prepare ourself for this game."

Harrow Times:

In order to get something from the match Ivic reiterated a point he has already made several times, that Watford will need to improve their attack, but believes the return of Stipe Perica, who was suspended after picking up a straight red card against Newport County, will give the side a boost.

"My philosophy is to play attacking football and we have worked on this," he said. "One thing we need to improve is our attacking game, our attacking moments and our finishing. We must have patience with the young players - until now we've used young players, especially forward players, who are playing first time in the championship. They're 19, 20 years old and their first time is at Championship level. It's not easy, we know that we have a lot of players who are injured, including experienced players.

"We've had some of them with a red card like Stipe Perica, he will be available now for the next game. Some of them didn't start well and we prefer them to be better day-by-day and it's how I said. There's some of them who will join us in the next few weeks and normally, the target is to improve ourself in both ways, in attack and defence. I agree that our attacking movement and how many goals we've scored in five games, it's not enough for Watford, it's not enough for our final goal. We know what we can do now, which is to work hard and improve this part of the game."
