Watford striker Andre Gray has been the subject of enquiries from Championship clubs Leeds United and Nottingham Forest, it has been reported.

The Hornets' striker has struggled to get regular first-team football this season, scoring twice from 21 appearances, and has not started a league match sind Nigel Pearson's arrival.

With both Leeds and Forest pushing for Premier League promotion a player of Gray's experience could be the difference between them playing in the first or second tier next season.

The Athletic claim that Leeds have had an initial enquiry rebuffed and that wages could be a stumbling block for them, while the Evening Standard report that Forest see Gray as a plan B after failing with their efforts to sign Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah.
