Harrow Borough dropped closer to the Southern League Premier Division South relegation spots after a 4-0 defeat at home to Weston-super-Mare on Saturday.

Bradley Ash added to James Waite’s hat-trick to condemn Borough to their fifth straight defeat and their seventh match without a win.

Two changes were made from last week’s defeat at Gosport Borough as Josh Andrew returned from suspension and and Excellence Muhemba came in to partner Marc Charles-Smith up front. Ben Tricker and George Fenton dropped out.

The game was only four minutes old when Borough fell behind. Vincent Harper laid off to Ash after a 60-yard sprint down the left wing, and the forward beat the Borough defence and fired home.

A defensive error resulted in the second for Weston. Michael Bryan slipped as he tried to turn on the edge of the area and they swept through the Harrow backline before Waite finished off the move.

Things didn’t get any better after the break for Borough, and the visitors finished them off when a cross from the right was only half cleared, and Waite rattled home the loose ball to make it three.

The striker then completed his hat-trick in the first minute of stoppage time, racing down the left before rounding Luca Ashby-Hammond and slotting into the empty net.

Next up for Borough is a huge battle at the bottom as they make the short trip to Hendon on Boxing Day, kicking off at the earlier time of 1pm.
