Harrow Borough recovered from their 1-0 FA Cup defeat at the weekend to Carshalton Athletic by beating Blackfield and Langley 3-1 upon their return to Southern League Premier Division South action.

Luke Warner-Eley and Ryan Moss put Borough 2-0 in front at the break against Blackfield and Luke Williams made the game safe after Fatah Makhloufi pulled one back.

Steve Baker restored George Fenton to the back four, while Moss came in for Anthony O'Connor and Manny Williams made his debut for the side.

Warner-Eley struck after 19 minutes to give Borough a deserved lead, beautifully chipping the goalkeeper from the edge of the area.

Moss added a second just shy of the half hour mark, dispatching a penalty with ease after he was pulled back in the area.

Blackfield, though, have enjoyed a positive start to the season along with their opponents, and showed their quality at the start of the second half by pulling a goal back.

Ireland tripped a Blackfield attacker as he was running through on goal, and Makhloufi had the same result as Moss from the spot to get his side back in it.

Borough will have been determined to recover from their cup set-back though, and restored the two-goal cushion with 20 minutes to go.

After recycling the ball from a blocked Frank Keita effort, Williams curled an excellent effort from the left into the far corner to restore the two-goal cushion.

That was how it stayed until the end, without only a few half chances to shout about in the closing stages.

Harrow go again this Saturday when they entertain Gosport Borough in the league.
