Watford winger Roberto Pereyra came off the bench to play 25 minutes of Argentina's 4-0 friendly win over Mexico last night.

The 28-year-old replaced Alexis MacAllister on 65 minutes with his side already four goals up, courtesy of a hat-trick by Lautaro Martinez and a penalty from Leandro Paredes.

Pereyra's introduction saw him claim his 16th international appearance, during which he has scored twice.

The Hornets' wide-man was unused in Argentina's other friendly that took place during the current international break against Chile, which ended goalless.
