Watford defender Craig Cathcart has received a call up for Northern Ireland's upcoming games during the September international break.

The Hornets' centre-back has been named as part of manager Michael O'Neill's 25-man squad for their friendly against Luxembourg next Thursday and their Euro 2020 qualifier against Germany at Windsor Park on Monday, September 9.

Cathcart will be hoping to add to the 45 appearances he already has under his belt for his national side, during which time he has scored twice.

Northern Ireland currently sit top of their Euro 2020 qualifying group after four consecutive wins, but still have to face Germany and the Netherlands in home and away ties.
