Marc Navarro is edging closer to joining Leganes on loan, the Watford Observer has been told.
The Spanish club opened talks with the Hornets last weekend and a deal is now believed to be nearing completion.
Reports from Spain earlier in the week suggested the deal had already been done, but sources close to Leganes indicate there is still a bit of work remaining before it is complete.
Navarro almost made the switch to Leganes during the January transfer window, but a deal could not be reached because the Spanish club were unable to move on former Watford defender Juanfran to make space in their squad.
However, the La Liga side reignited their interest in the defender this summer and look likely to announce the move within the coming weeks, if not sooner.
