Adalberto Penaranda lasted little over ten minutes in an international friendly against Mexico last night, when he suffered an injury after coming on as a substitute.
The Watford forward joined the game in the 75th minute, but was led off the field just 11 minutes after and subsequently replaced.
The two sides were playing against one another in preparation for international tournaments coming up later this summer, with Venezuela featuring in the Copa America and Mexico in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
It is unclear exactly what the problem was, or how much it will limit Penaranda's involvement in the tournament if at all.
