Watford have been linked with a move for Mexican international goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.

The 33-year-old, who has made 101 international appearances for his country, is out of contract with current club Standard Liege this summer and suggested last month he was looking to move on and seek a challenge at a higher level.

Mexican publication Record has claimed Ochoa could join the Hornets following a request from head coach Javi Gracia, who has previously worked with the keeper at Malaga.

The stopper, who has been a member of his country’s last four World Cup squads, has made more than 70 appearances for the Belgian top-flight club since joining them in July 2017.
