Watford have been linked with a move for former Tottenham Hotspur youngster Milos Veljkovic.

German newspaper Bild claim the Hornets have enquired about the Werder Bremen defender, who the Bundelsiga outfit may be prepared to sell this summer.

Veljkovic, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, joined Tottenham Hotspur’s Academy in 2011 from FC Basel and made his debut in the 2013/14 season.

Loan spells at Middlesbrough and Charlton Athletic followed as the Swiss-born player sought to establish himself in England, before moving to Germany in 2016.

The 23-year-old has made more than 80 Bundesliga for Bremen – the club the Hornets signed Sebastian Prodl from – and has won nine caps for Serbia to date.
