Harrow Borough have been quick to sign-on a number of members of the 2018/19 squad onto contracts for the upcoming season.

The side finished the Southern League Premier Division South season in seventh place, a highly successful position, and were only seven points away from securing a play-off place.

Signing on are Hafed Al-Droubi, Josh Andrew, Lewis Cole, George Fenton, Jordan Ireland, Frank Keita and Adam Pepera.

At least three more of last season's squad who unable to be at The Rogers Family Stadium with their teammates to complete the deals are expected to put pen to paper in the coming days.

Meanwhile, there has been some success for womens’ football in the Harrow area recently too.

Headstone Manor Ladies FC, who were founded in 2007, won their first piece of silverware when they defeated The Comets 2-1 to win the Greater London Womens’ League Trophy.

Both goals were scored by Sinead Walsh, who also won the Player of the Match award.

Manor went 2-0 up in the middle of the first half but were pegged back when Comets scored towards the end of the period.

In the second half both sides went for glory and there were chances at either end, but there were no further goals in the match which took place in front of a healthy crowd at Bedfont Sports Club.

Headstone Manor are managed by Paul Sharpe, who works for the Middlesex FA, and captained by Jade Doherty.

They play in the Greater London WFL Division Two North, finishing fourth this season.
