Liverpool have made enquiries regarding the possibility of signing Joao Pedro from Fluminense, despite the forward having an agreement with Watford, reports suggest.

The Brazilian has already agreed to sign for the Hornets and is due to arrive at Vicarage Road in January 2020, but reports from several sources, including the Mail Online, suggest the Reds are looking to snap up the 17-year-old themselves.

Were they to do this, it is believed they would have to pay Watford around £20million, as per a clause in the contract signed between the player and the Hornets.

Liverpool scouts reportedly watched Pedro score a hat-trick for Fluminense in their 4-1 win over Atletico Nacional on Thursday. He has scored seven goals in his first ten games.
