According to stats from Opta, Watford have spent more days in the Premier League’s top four this season than Manchester United.
After the Red Devils’ miserable defeat in the Manchester Derby last night, their quest to finish in the Champions League spots took another dent, while earlier in the week the Hornets needed a last-minute strike from Andre Gray to rescue a point against Southampton.
But in a tweet posted by Opta, they say United have only spent 26 days in the top four this season, 14 fewer than Javi Gracia’s side, who have been there for 40 days across the campaign.
Current second-placed side Liverpool have spent the most amount of time in those positions (255 days), followed by leaders Manchester City (245), Chelsea (190), Spurs (189) and Arsenal (72).
