Ben Foster’s fine form since returning to Watford was recognised last night when he was named Goalkeeper of the Year at the London Football Awards.
The 35-year-old, who returned to Vicarage Road in the summer after joining from West Bromwich Albion, has been a vital figure in helping the Hornets to eighth in the Premier League.
He received his award from another former Watford keeper, Pat Jennings, having been selected ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga (Chelsea), Lukasz Fabianski (West Ham United), Joe Lumley (Queens Park Rangers) and Dillon Phillips (Charlton Athletic).
The awards are now in the fifth year and help raise money for former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson and his wife Megs’ Willow charity.
