Watford showed their character and spirit to battle back and beat Crystal Palace 2-1 and secure a win that saw the Hornets surpass their away points tally for all of last season by mid-January.
Javi Gracia's men should have taken an early lead when Gerard Deulofeu and Roberto Pereyra both hit the same post in one attack, and they were to be punished for a poorly-defended corner when the unfortunate Craig Cathcart scored an own goal before the break.
The Hornets' response wasn't immediate, but they were to get back on terms midway through the second half when a Jose Holebas corner was headed in at the far post by Cathcart to level up his scoring.
Tom Cleverley was introduced before play restarted and within 10 minutes of entering the fray the substitute netted a superb winner, cracking a volley into the top corner from just inside the penalty area.
