Nathaniel Chalobah has missed out on selection for the England squad for upcoming clashes with the United States and Croatia.
The Watford midfielder was included in Gareth Southgate’s last Three Lions selection and made his senior debut as a late substitute in the 3-2 win over Spain.
His inclusion came despite limited game time for Watford this season and he has played just nine minutes of Premier League football this term.
Southgate has instead opted to select Manchester City’s Fabian Delph and Chelsea man Ruben Loftus-Cheek as well as Jordan Henderson and Eric Dier as midfield options.
Chalobah could well be in line for a first league start of the season on Saturday due to Etienne Capoue being suspended after picking up a fifth booking of the season.
