A team of pool players claimed a close victory against the South Harrow British Legion in the Harrow Cup in memory of a friend who passed away from Leukaemia.
Matt Dinan died earlier this year and it was decided that the team would be renamed in his honour.
Patrick Fallon, Clyde O’Brien, Alan Jones, Andy Stevens, Nathan Khan, Ifty Shah, Russ Wicks, Dennis O’Sullivan and James O’ Sullivan entered the tournament under the name of Matt’s R’s, given that Dinan was a loyal QPR supporter.
After a tight match, Dennis O’Sullivan stepped up in the final frame to secure Matt’s R’s a narrow 5-4 victory over reigning champions the South Harrow British Legion, handing them the trophy.
