Abdoulaye Doucoure is reportedly a summer target for Tottenham Hotspur after impressing in the heart of Watford’s midfield this term.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was in the stands at Vicarage Road on Monday night as Doucoure put in another solid display to help secure a 4-1 win over Chelsea.

The Frenhman’s fine form has seen him linked with a number of the Premier League’s top sides, with Arsenal and Liverpool also said to be interested in the 25-year-old.

Watford have moved to tie one of their star man to a new deal and offered to make him one of the club’s best earners with a £70,000-a-week deal in January.

That contract is yet to be signed by Doucoure and he has previously made it clear he will reassess his options in the summer.

“I am always happy to play and show what I can do. After, of course, maybe at the end of the season you never know,” he told the Watford Observer in November.

“Every player wants to grow but for me the first thing is I am at Watford and I give everything for the club. After I will speak with the owner. I am happy here but we will see.”
