A 93-year-old man has died following a fire at a property in Fife.
Emergency services were called to the blaze in Miller Avenue in Crossford at around 12.15pm on Wednesday.
The pensioner was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, where he died a short time later.
Police in Fife, who confirmed the fatality on their social media pages, said they are working with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to investigate the circumstances surrounding the blaze.
A spokesman said: “The fire is currently being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing.”
