PLANS to spend £3.3m of tax payers money on new computer systems will come under the microscope tonight.
Opposition Lib Dems say Haringey Council’s Labour administration has not got value for money through its deal to farm out responsibility for its IT to a private company.
Councillor Paul Strang, who applied for the proposals to go before a scrutiny committee, called for the decision to be delayed by six months to a year.
In his application he said: “The decision to award a £3.3m contract based on only one valid bid after two procurement rounds cannot be considered as achieving value for money for local taxpayers."
