PATIENTS and visitors will get a look at a hospital’s rare trees on a special walk tomorrow.
St Ann's Hospital, in St Ann's Road, has provided a protected habitat in which different specimens have sprung up over more than 50 years, including The Pride of India, Wild Service and Black Locust.
The hospital is giving a guided walk around its grounds tomorrow from 2pm to 3.30pm.
Russell Miller, who will lead the walk, said: “It is a real treasure trove and there are some wonderful trees hidden behind the hospital's tall brick wall.”
He added: “There are lots of studies which show that the presence of trees is very therapeutic and very beneficial to well being.”
