THREE men have been badly burnt after they caught fire in a derelict substation in Colindale.

The men, aged between 30 and 40, were in an electrical substation in Capitol Way at around 12.20am this morning when they are thought to have come into contact with wires with 11,000 volts running through them.

They ran ablaze from the disused premises, screaming for help before collapsing in the street.

The men were taken to separate burns units, where two are in a life threatening condition and the other is serious but stable.

Brent Police are investigating the incident, and have cordoned off Capitol Way in both directions.

They have asked anyone with information or witnesses to call them on 0208 733 3159.
