A HOSPITAL radio station is holding a trio of events to pay for refurbishing its record library.

Volunteers from Radio Northwick Park are holding a charity gig at the Trinity Pub on Saturday, April 19, which will be broadcast live to patients at the Harrow hospital.

A host of buskers will be hitting the town centre streets in the two weekends before the gig to raise more money and promote the event.

The station, which is based in the basement of the hospital, has been raising money for a major refurbishment of its aging offices.

It is run entirely by volunteers, and broadcasts to patients and over the Internet 24-hours a day.

One of the volunteers, Jon Boud, is running from Ruislip to Harrow on the same day as the gig to raise more cash, and he is planning to arrive at the time the first band starts.

Tickets for the gig are on sale now, and can be bought from Keith on 07017 321 502 or email treasurer@radionorthwickpark.org.
