Vyas has been jailed for rape
A HINDU priest who raped a woman has been jailed for four-and-a-half years.
Shashikant Vyas, 61, attacked and raped a woman in her home in February this year, leaving her physically and mentally scarred.
The 41-year-old has made several suicide bids since it happened and told Harrow Crown Court her life had been ruined by the rape.
Vyas was jailed today and must remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
