Joe Swash’s Channel 4 cooking series Batch from Scratch: Cooking For Less has reportedly been axed.
Batch From Scratch: Cooking For Less, which he co-hosted with food expert Suzanne Mulholland, launched in February 2025 and attracted an average audience of 1.1 million viewers.
The show aimed to help families prepare affordable, healthy meals through batch cooking.
It was also intended to establish the former EastEnders actor as a household name in family entertainment, similar to his wife Stacey Solomon, a former Loose Women panellist.
Channel 4 reportedly axed Joe Swash's cooking show
A source told The Sun: "The move from EastEnders actor to cheeky-chappy presenter to family chef didn’t happen as seamlessly as bosses had hoped."
Channel 4 had previously encouraged families to apply for a second series, describing the show as "currently in pre-production" and looking to "transmit next year".
In a joint statement at the time, Mr Swash and Ms Mulholland said: "We’re both excited to keep spreading the word about the power of batch cooking and look forward to teaming up again to transform the lives of families around the UK."
The format saw the duo help families save time and money by preparing meals in bulk, with a focus on healthy eating and efficient kitchen routines.
Despite the show’s cancellation, Mr Swash has continued to share batch cooking content on his Instagram account, filmed at his family home in Essex.
He lives at Pickle Cottage with Ms Solomon and their three children: Rex, seven, Rose, five, and Belle, three.
Mr Swash also has a 19-year-old son, Harry, from a previous relationship, while Ms Solomon has two sons, Zachary, 18, and Leighton, 14.
In a recent Instagram post, he said: "I’m back in the kitchen!! "Going to start posting videos about how I batch cook lots of meals for me, Stacey and the kids.
"Great for saving time and making tasty food that’s easy to keep in the freezer. "First up ..... Cottage Pie!! Comment what you would make with the leftover mince?? (sic)"
