Two north London rail lines have been suspended after “a person was hit by a train”.

There was no service on the Bakerloo line between Queens Park and Harrow and Wealdstone, and on the Overground line between Euston and Watford Junction earlier this morning (May 29).

In a Tweet, National Rail said that “emergency services attended” the incident, in which “a person was hit by a train”.

It was confirmed at around 8.45am that the closed lines had been re-opened, although disruption from Euston is expected until 10am.

There has been no further details as to what time the person was hit by the train, or exactly where on the line the incident took place.

The British Transport Police and London Ambulance Service have been contacted for more information.
