A charity has raised more than £1,400 by holding its annual 10k walk in May this year.

People got together to help raise money for the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre, a medical charity based in Harrow, which provides scanning services to the NHS.

Those involved in the walks covered Croxley Green, Rickmansworth, Chorleywood and Northwood areas.

The money raised will go towards medical research and scanners.

The charity’s fundraiser Caroline Wren said: “During the month of May, people got together with friends or family for our Stepping up for Cancer walk.

“Some are new to this walk, and some have been doing the walk every year for many years.

“We also had a group of 20 from the Croxley Green U3A walking group.”
