No arrests have still been made after a vehicle smashed into a Tesco Express store window and a cash register was stolen.

Police were called to a burglary at the Tesco Express store on Pinner Road, Harrow, at 5.20am on Saturday (January 15).

The window of the store was smashed, with shards of glass scattered across the pavement, after a vehicle was used to ram into the store.

As a result, the store’s till was stolen. The Metropolitan Police were asked if there was an estimate on how much was stolen, but it was not provided.

The branch was forced to shut at the time of the burglary and reopened on the Sunday (January 16).

According to the Met, there were also no injuries.

Days after the burglary, there are still no arrests.

However police enquiries continue, and any witnesses or anyone with information should call police on 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting 1334/15JAN.

A Tesco spokesperson said: “Our Harrow Apollo Express store is still open following a robbery on Saturday that caused some damage to the front of the shop.

"We apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused on the weekend while we worked to reopen the store."
