Police have been granted permission to continue holding onto more than £15k cash seized during a drugs raid in Watford.

Officers executed a warrant in Weall Green on May 8 this year following which two people were arrested and £15,180 was seized.

There was also a quantity of Class A drugs and paraphernalia.

Police confirmed a 21-year-old man from Hemel Hempstead was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

A 28-year-old woman from Watford was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug.

Both were released under investigation.

Police have since confirmed no one has been charged but enquiries are continuing.

On Tuesday, November 23, officers applied for permission to extend the time they could keep hold of the cash seized during the raid.

Stevenage Magistrates' Court granted the request enabling it to be kept at Stevenage Police Station for another six months.
